About AFC PriMed

American Family Care and Baptist PriMed have joined forces to create AFC PriMed, and will offer urgent and primary care in the River Region. Both companies are committed to continue to provide over 30 years of exceptional care.

The eight clinics are designed, equipped and staffed to provide accessible primary care, urgent care, minor emergency treatment and occupational medicine. The clinics offer a high-tech, high touch approach, with digital x-rays, on-site lab testing, state-of-the-art diagnostics, electronic medical records, and medication dispensing available on-site. The clinics are staffed by board certified physicians and a team of kind, caring and compassionate health care professionals. The clinics are open daily, offer extended hours, no appointments are necessary, and most insurance plans are accepted. AFC PriMed also offers WeighToLive, a medically supervised weight loss program at many of its clinics.

AFC is the largest urgent care provider in the state of Alabama and one of the largest in the United States with more than 126 clinics in operation. The partnership will result in enhanced access to primary care services in a seven county region and will serve approximately 470,000 people living in the surrounding communities.
